"The Nanny"

The story revolved around nasal-voiced Fran Fine (Fran Drescher) from Flushing, Queens, who, fresh out of her job as a bridal consultant in her boyfriend's shop, was peddling cosmetics on the Upper East Side doorstep of a wealthy and widowed Englishman, When he mistakenly believes Fran has been sent by a nanny agency, she quickly seizes upon the opportunity to become the nanny for his three children. But soon Fran, with her off-beat nurturing and no-nonsense honesty, touched Maxwell as well as the kids. "Twin Peaks"

Twin Peaks was premiered on television April 8, 1990. Twin Peaks was created by film director David Lynch (Blue Velvet) and writer Mark Frost (Hill Street Blues). Twin Peaks was a Drama and Soap series. Starring Kyle MacLachlanas as FBI Agent Dale Cooper.

Pete Martell noticed a body firmly covered on a sheet of clear plastic. It was the body of Laura Palmer, the homecoming queen and the town's most popular girl. The news was spread to the town's residents, who react in different ways. Special Agent Dale Cooper arrives to investigate the murder of Laura Palmer. Cooper’s preliminary investigation of Laura's body discovered a tiny typed letter 'R' inserted under her fingernail.

Cooper distinguishes this as the "Trade Mark" of a killer who murdered Teresa Banks a year earlier in the close town of Deer Meadow. Cooper quickly proves that Laura's personality and affairs are not as they first appear; believing Laura Palmer is a wholesome homecoming queen. Laura had been two-timing her boyfriend Bobby Briggs with James Hurley that only Donna Hayward knows about it. Donna Hayward was the best friend of Laura Palmer. Cooper found a mark of cocaine in Laura's diary, a habit she shared with Bobby.

Cooper Found out that Laura had also been working as a prostitute sometimes based at the club One-Eyed Jacks. Cooper then experiences the first in a series of strange dreams, in which he visits the enigmatic Red Room. Cooper met a very small man from another Place, Also the trapped spirit of Laura Palmer, who whispers into his ear the name of her killer. But every time that cooper awakes, he cannot remember the name of the killer.

As Cooper investigates deeper into the dirty secret life of Laura Palmer, He Discover that Laura Palmer was abused by a man called BOB. Laura was raped by him and in order to escape from him, she used drugs and prostitutes herself. BOB, who is in fact an evil spirit.

Cooper stays in Twin Peaks for a while longer. Cooper was framed for drug trafficking and Cooper was temporarily suspended from the FBI. After he was cleared of the charges, Cooper went back to Twin Peaks.Cooper continues to try to track down the origins of BOB and learns more about the mysteries of the dark woods surrounding Twin Peaks. New DVD Releases

"Twin Peaks "

In September 2001, the first season (episodes 2-8) of Twin Peaks was released by Republic Pictures in a DVD boxed set.

The DVD box set is known to have production errors, which cause many DVD players to freeze. One known track glitch occurs during the opening credits of Episode 2. Another glitch occurs 15 minutes into Episode 4, during Donna and Audrey's scene in the girls' high school lavatory.

The first season of Twin Peaks was released to DVD on Artisan Entertainment, the video licensee for Republic, but Artisan/Lions Gate's rights expired in September 2005, and thus transferred to Paramount. Although Republic technically holds major ancillary rights, Paramounts home entertainment division (a Viacom unit) now holds home video rights, thus opening the door for a Season Two release on DVD. Television distribution rights are now held by CBS Paramount Television, the successor-in-interest to Paramounts television unit. North American rights to the Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me film are owned by Time Warner's New Line Cinema division, and is available on video and DVD through New Line.

"My So-Called Life"

A realistic drama teen series that takes a look at a 15 year-old girl and her trials and tribulations with being a teenager and dealing with friends, guys, parents and school.

The fact is that teenagers rebel against their parents, care too much about that they wear, obsess over sex, etc. The teens are a time of experimentation and soul-searching. And My So-Called Life was the first T.V. show that honestly addressed the issues that modern teenagers were facing on a day to day basis. We can thank it for the other television shows that dared to follow its example and offer characters that teenagers can actually relate to.

The Story evolves on the adolescence period of a Person that full of trials and questions the evolves in mind of a n teen ager.

“Perry Mason”

An attorney who specializes in defending seemingly indefensible cases. Perry Manson whose specialty is to win on cases which are hard to defend. Often relying on his outstanding courtroom skills, he often tricks or traps people into unwittingly admitting their guilt.

Whether it's a recent Ken Burns documentary miniseries or 50-year-old episodes off I Love Lucy, repurposing TV programming for DVD has become a significant growth area for authoring facilities and others figuring into the DVD equation. Those involved in the process say the act they have to follow is I that of feature films. They're providing all the same bells and whistles but point out that things like menus and bonus materials are secondary to quality when the input material dates back as much as half a century.

The advice to program suppliers from Al Gavin, VP of sales and marketing at Audio Plus Video International (www.apvi.com), an Ascent Media company based in Northvale, NJ, is, "if you have a budget to work with, focus on the quality of the program. The bonus materials are nice, but people tend to watch them just once. So the most important thing is the program itself."

Gavin estimates there are probably tens of thousands of hours of TV that have gone onto DVD. This aspect of APVI's DVD department has grown about 50 percent over the last year, he estimates. Projects have ranged from five five-episode volumes so far of I Love Lucy for Columbia House to such Discovery Channel miniseries as The Real Eve and Engineering the Impossible.

"It's similar to working on a feature film." he holds, "because our clients require us to do audio and video restoration prior to authoring." As a video post production facility, APVI has an advantage in attracting authoring work because it offers such additional services as restoration.
